Reiki sessions. Bamboo pipe with water flowing out to a pool and zen stones.

Your First Reiki Session

Your first session will involve a discussion about what you want to achieve. The amount of time needed for this varies depending on your requirements.

No matter how good any healing method is, it is always important to consider your current life style choices and the environments in which you live and work. You will have the opportunity to investigate your options during this first visit.

Subsequent Reiki Sessions

You will be asked for a brief review of what has happened since your last visit so that we can assess  how much progress you are making and whether any adjustments need to be made.

Receiving Reiki

You will be helped to settle in a comfortable position in whatever way works best for you. That could be on a Reiki table or sitting in a chair. Most people prefer to close their eyes to allow their mind to wander more freely and relax. The Reiki healing will then start. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, please let me know so that I can help you to adjust your position to make you comfortable.

After an hour, I will give you an indication that the session has finished. After lying down for an hour, most people are a little light headed so you are then allowed enough time to wake up properly.

Afterwards, I like to take the time to compare our experiences of the session too, to see if there are any insights to be gained. Once this is complete, the session is over.

After Leaving

After leaving, it is a good idea to give yourself time to notice what your body actually wants, rather than just following your usual routine. Make sure that you are properly hydrated, preferably with water. Many people report that they sleep very deeply on the evening after a Reiki session.
